My dad came home from lunch today. The conversation turned to poop. Literally.

I have no idea how this was brought up, but my dad mentioned that someone has created a self-tweeting diaper. With a little bit of googling, it turns out that my dad isn’t…well..full of the stuff that goes in said diaper.

So, naturally, my dad thinks this is crazy. I tend to agree with him. Even though I’m all about new tech, he raised a good point.

“Who would want WiFi that close to their child’s genitals?”

The answer; a lazy parent. If you are too busy to check on the condition of your child’s diaper, maybe you should put down Twitter and tend your young.

Also, another excellent point brought up by the Hon Father is that if these are successful on the market, Twitter will be overflowing with diaper tweets. Hashtag dirty dippey? Anyone?

Like I said, I’m all about technology, but sometimes people take it too far.

The worst grade I ever got in college was in Spanish.

That doesn’t mean that some of it didn’t stick. The worst part about my SPA 101 class, and the very large ‘D’ I received in it, is that my parents expect more from me. They know, that if I would have pushed my self I could have achieved an ‘A.’

As much as this pains me, I can finally admit this on a daily basis. My parents were right.

My parents are right about a lot of things, but there’s something happens between the age of 16 and 22. When you’re a teen, your parents know nothing. I think it’s partly a denial that you’re growing up and people are going to expect you to be an adult. Once you realize the inevitable, you stop seeing them as your enemy and realize they’re the best friends you’ll ever have.

But my blog isn’t about growing up, moving out or moving on. It’s about my parents. The quirkiest, strangest, ego-maniacal, lovable. crazy and convoluted people I know. This is about the two biggest influences on my life for the last 22 years and how I have finally realized the truth. They’re people too.

So, most of this blog will be quotes and stories to entertain you. Maybe they’ll be a message in here…or something. Most importantly, feel free to laugh at my family. Trust me, you’re laughing with us.
